Happy Charterversary AWVAC--4/9/2022

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the 1st Anniversary of the Arizona West Valley Alumnae Chapter.  We had a great time, and look forward to many more celebratory events in the future!  Thank you to our chartering members who paved the way, and to our members who keep us strong!!!  Thank you to our community for supporting us!!!!  #deltastrong

Thank you for coming out to the City of Surprise's MLK Day of Service event where AWVAC participated as a community partner with other organizations to bring awareness to the community about Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and various services the city provides in the City of Surprise.    Activities included  Keynote Speaker, Col. Wanda Wright, recognition of the art contest winners, and performances by American Idol Finalist LaKisha Jones, Valley Vista High School, Ashton Ranch Middle School, Gideon Baptist Choir, Arizona Redeemed Choir, 

Thank you for coming out to the City of Peoria's MLK Day of Service event where AWVAC participated as a community partner with other organizations to bring awareness to the community about Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and various services the city provides.   Activities included multi-cultural activities and entertainment, volunteer opportunities, local food trucks, engaging activities and free books for children, health and wellness vendors, service projects, community resources, and a vaccine clinic, including COVID-19, flu, pneumonia, and shingles vaccines for adults and children.

Thank you for your support of our first Arts and Letters Event!  While the VIP Experience is sold out, you may purchase tickets to attend through the  Vista Center for the Arts.

Thank you for your support in attending the Redistricting Roundtable with the Commissioners of the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission.  We were the first African-American organization in the West Valley to organize the efforts.  What a great Social Action Team we have!

AWVAC showed up with our community partners and brought education, vaccinations, and fun to the City of Peoria!  We thank our community partners and all participating vendors.  

AWVAC participated in the first Step Up in Surprise Event that supported the needs of Veterans.  We brought Election Education to the event while introducing ourselves to the Surprise community. 

AWVAC came together in Glendale to meet Deltas in the West Valley at our first Sisterhood Soirée.  We had a great time, and look forward to additional events in the Valley
